Pilates in an incredible method that was created by German-born Joseph Pilates to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Being a low impact form of exercise, Pilates has something to offer people of all ages and levels of ability and fitness, from beginners to elite athletes.
We limit numbers in our group sessions to ensure we meet individual needs and so everybody gains the maximum benefits from every class. All participants are screened before attending a session and given advice for specific issues. Mats and small equipment are provided, however, we understand it is nice to use your own so please feel free to bring your own mat along. The classes are run and booked in blocks of 6 weeks to encourage commitment to your Pilates practise and in turn gain the maximum benefits. Although we do offer a one-off trial class to give you the chance to see what a Pilates class is like with us at Shake & Shuffle.
